Cleanroom Design

Prefabrication of wall panels, windows and entry ways enables the Hardwall cleanroom to be easily modified, expanded, or relocated. Our standard Hardwall panels are 3” thick, with a center core of polystyrene covered on both sides with white painted steel. Panels are attached to one another via a two-piece structural post design. This implementation allows for a non-progressive paneling system, which simply means, wall sections can be removed and/or replaced without disturbing the adjacent structure. The two-piece posts systems are used to conceal electrical wiring and cabling as well as housing structural inserts.

Standard single entry doors are painted steel, sealed with a fully gasketed jamb and come with safety viewing windows. Doors are field adjustable and leveled to insure proper operation. Like many of our Hardwall cleanroom components, doors and entry ways are available in a variety of styles, sizes, and finishes. 3/16” tempered safety glass windows, which allow a clear view in or out of the cleanroom are available in standard, full view, and customizable sizes. Modular Cleanrooms, Inc. also offers an assortment of glass material options.

Our Hardwall cleanroom line can also by supplied with Modular Cleanroom Inc. ‘s Snap Together Electrical System.

Comprised of UL listed pre-wired connections for switches, outlets, lights and HEPA filters, this modular quick connect system conforms to most national electrical codes. The electrical runs terminate, at any designated location, and can carry up to 6 circuits. While our team of cleanroom experts can outfit your cleanroom with our Snap Together Electrical System, final installation of electrical panels and power to the building is to be performed by a licensed electrician.

Unless specified otherwise, roof decking, I-Beams, and support posts will be designed for 20-25 lbs. (per square foot) loads. Loads of up to 60 lbs. and greater are also available and can also be designed as an integral part of a mezzanine. Support posts and I-Beams will vary in size based on span and load-bearing requirements. Upon request, seismic bracing and stamped drawings are also available.

The cleanroom ceiling grid system, most commonly used in the cleanroom, pharmaceutical and hospital industries comes pre-gasketed with flexible closed cell polyethylene foam and is chemical resistant. A standard grid finish of white powered coated or clean satin anodized aluminum is supported by heavy duty hanger wire. Installation of the cleanroom ceiling grid components in simplified via a clip assembly, requiring no special tools, and is designed in a grid style pattern which allows for a wide selection of module sizes. Special grid sizes, finishes, and gaskets are also available.

Standard cleanroom ceiling tiles consist of a ½” sheetrock core with a vinyl covered face and are easily cleanable as well as non-shedding. The ceiling tiles also come in a variety of different sizes, materials and finishes to meet all of your cleanroom needs.

Prefabrication of Hardwall cleanroom panels, windows and doors significantly reduces construction and installation time compared to other conventional methods as well as reduces jobsite debris and disruption.
