The Micro-Clean and its components have the ability to be changed in size and cleanliness levels on-site and are almost 100% reusable. So, if the need arises, you can take the room (and the investment) with you. The Micro-Clean’s design emphasizes microbial contamination and particle infiltration reduction. We accomplished this with an innovative sealing system. The vinyl is attached to the wall frame by way of the 3M Dual-Lock fasteners assuring you of a pressure-tight seal. Each intersection of wall panels is sealed on the outside with a customer approved caulking (optional).
The Micro-Clean softwall cleanroom can accommodate either fan-powered HEPA filters or ducted 2×4 HEPAs (99.99% on .3 microns). Wall-mounted HEPAs can be attached to the wall panels when existing height is limited. Rooms with the side-mounted option have been tested and passed cleanliness levels of CL 1000 and better. Airflow patterns and dead air spots are controlled by way of wall-mounted gravity louvers. These louvers also act as back-draft dampers and automatically close down, thereby reducing the chance of infiltration from either fan or power failure.
The Micro-Clean addresses the need to remove particles from the air, it also has options that reduce or eliminate the chance of contamination from being introduced inside the room. Pass-thru allows small products to be easily passed in and out of the room without any personnel having to enter or exit the room. The addition of a gowning room or wall(s) will protect your process from outside contamination as you enter or exit. The Micro-Clean is one of the only cleanrooms that offers a scrub panel. This panel is manufactured out of the same materials as a standard panel, except we replace the vinyl panel with a 3/4″ particle board that is covered on both sides with white Formica. This panel allows the addition of sinks, soap dispensers, and/or hand dryers.
The Micro-Clean is constructed with a minimum 16 gauge, 2″ x 2″ tubular steel panel walls, flexible softwall or rigid hardwall plastic sheets (other materials also available) which can be easily erected and/or disassembled. An auto-closing door is standard, and has an optional 3-gang wall switch. There are a number of ceiling choices offered on the Micro-Clean:
Existing ceiling grid, if in good condition, is also commonly used. All steel components are coated with white powder coat paint for durability (other colors available upon request as a special order). A major advantage to the Micro-Clean softwall cleanroom is its ability to be enlarged or reduced without having to tear the entire room down. Wall panels and ceiling grids can easily be added or removed as future needs dictate. Rooms may come as a totally freestanding structure or can be used in combination with existing wall(s). Compare the ease of erecting these rooms to the disruption and contamination generated during installation of sheet rock walls as well as downtime and potential revenue loss.
